It was good to see the mechanics in play, as I haven't seen and demos of this game so was going in straight from just reading the rules.
It's plays like a hybrid historical battle/skirmish game, with each turn comprising separate shooting/movement/combat phases. The combat is very fast and straight-forward with the management of a limited (and diminishing pool) of 'Leadership Points' being allocated to provide tactical bonuses each turn. Many aspects are similar to Saga in this respect.
